Some Physiological and Physical Indicators and Their Relationship to the Performance Achievement in the Javelin Throw for Youth
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the relationship between explosive arm strength, selected physiological indicators, and performance achievement in the javelin throw for youth athletes. The researchers adopted a descriptive survey method, selecting a sample from youth javelin throwers in Wasit clubs. The variables studied included explosive arm strength, vital capacity, anaerobic power, heart rate before and after exertion, and the digital achievement in javelin throwing.
The results revealed significant positive correlations between all studied variables and performance achievement. Explosive strength was found to play a crucial role in enhancing performance due to its relation to rapid force production required in throwing. Physiological indicators, especially anaerobic power, showed a strong influence as the event depend on high attentive. Vital capacity contributed to recovery between attempts, while heart rate reflected cardiovascular adaptation and fitness level.
The researchers concluded that regular and structured training improves these variables and enhances athletic performance. They recommended focusing on integrated training programs aimed at developing explosive strength and physiological indicators in youth javelin throwers.
